have you ever been crabbing? did you like it?

When my husband and I lived on the Jersey coast we use to pack up the babies take a play pen with us and go crabbing in the middle of the night. We used chicken backbones or livers tied tight to the bottom of the traps. We would sit out there on the pier all night long and after the sunrise we would take our catch home throw the crabs into the bath tub, while I boiled up a crab pot. What feast that is for breakfast. I so miss that. I miss the coast. Although I do not miss Jersey!

It is alot of fun and we always had a blast... thats the same bait that we used....we used to catch coolers full and make the best gumbos...would love to go again...

I have never been crabbing, but I guess it is because I live far from the beach. Sounds like it could be a fun thing to do.

It is awesome fun and you can tan while your at it. It is somewhaat of a skill that you get better with practice.......

When I lived in Maryland last year they used to go crabbing all the time, we were so close to the Chesapeke Bay, they used to use hot dogs, said they caught the biggest ones.

It must have been really beautiful. I like to go and spend the entire day....but have too much work to do to go...lol
