being excellent in school?
i don't mean to brag. i have 3 kids and all are doing great in school. at the end of each school year they are always being rewarded.
just this school year both my eldest and second child got 5 medals from their academic subjects. while my youngest got 4 plus was awarded as pupil of the year. and it has all been this way since they all started school.
i think i may need an extra room for their awards alone. lol.

i don't show off its just that kids are more inspired if they are being praised and that if friends who come to visit get to see it, as well.

I would also keep them and allocate an area in our house wherein I could display their awards and medals. It's my way of saying to my children that I am indeed proud of them. It's my own private shrine of them. I am their no.1 fan. I even display my daughter's drawings in my office he he he! I am thinking to have one of her beautiful drawings framed. I want to let her know that I value it so much. Like you, I am just another proud mom!

I have a shoe box for each of my daughters. In them I keep certificates, report cards and things like that... gymnastic testing results. At the end of every school year they get a sheet with stickers on them indicating the things they participated in like a sticker for basketball, a sticker for being an altar server, etc. Those are also in the box. Their Honour Roll certificates and kind student certificates (or whatever) are also in that box. As for medals and trophies, they are on display in their bedrooms.

My mom always kept our most recent rewards up at her house when we were younger. She only put two up for each of her children, so we got to pick which ones she had up. She put the rest of them away. She said putting up more would be like bragging to everyone else that her kids were smarter or more athletic, etc. Even now that I've been out of school for 6 years, she still has my painting that I won the art show with up in her living room. She also has my certificate I got when I aced the cosmetology state board test. I was the first one from my school to get 100%, so I got a certificate.
She also has awards that my sisters won in college, and my brother's ordination certificate and a plaque that he got for his first pastor appreciation day after he became the full time pastor at his church.
When my son gets older, I will probably do something similar as well. I don't want to be one of those moms that is constantly bragging about something my child does. I want him to know I am proud of him, but I don't want it to be too over the top.

My mother kept all my report cards. Some were very good iether. I kept all the things my kids got or did in school. It sometimes made for good bribery, LOL. Later when they grew up they got a kick out of looking at those things. "I can't believe you saved this" is what they usually say. It can really get funny when the grandkids come along. Mama did that? Funny.

Well, that is just so good for you then. My daughter is 11 months old and someday I would love to put up her awards somewhere in our house.
