products? Do you want to save some money? Try these home remedies!
My hair is so damaged and dry due to many different elements...That I have resorted to making and trying home remedies being as I go through so much conditioner and hair moisturizer product that are very expensive and do not seem to work well...
Here are some that I would like to share with others who may have the same problem as me.
For home made hair conditioner try this:
Egg conditioner
1 tsp baby oil
1 egg yolk
1 cup of water
Beat the egg yolk until frothy
add the oil then beat again
stir in the water
Massage it into scalp and throughout your hair. Rinse well.
Deep conditioner:
1 small jar of real mayonnaise
1/2 of an avocado
Peel avocado and place in a bowl with the whole jar of mayonnaise and mash together with a whisker or hand masher until smooth.
Smooth into hair all the way to the tips. place a shower cap or wrap your head with saran wrap.
Leave on for 20 minutes. For deeper conditioning put a hot, damp towel around your head over the saran wrap. If you only need conditioning to the ends cut the recipe in half.
For an extra shine try:
Flat beerJust use as a final rinse
Honey lotion for the scalp3 teaspoons of honey per pint of warm water. Mix and use as the final rinse.
VinegarThis is a great one I have tried it my self use straight white vinegar as the final rinse.
Baking sodaAdd a small amount of baking soda to your shampoo. This too will give hair a shine. It also helps to remove dirt and grease from one's hair.
Here is where I found these recipes and if you would like to check out many many more home remedies check out this site

I have used mayonaiise for many years. It is a great conditioner. Thank you for the link so we may check out other home remedies. I try to live frugally and making products at home is a good way to do this.

Those are some really nice ideas. I may have to try a few. I'm not much of a hair person but it would be nice if I gt manage it a bit better. My main problem is with frizzies. My hair likes to fly around.lol. Thanks for that site.

My mom used to swear by Mayonnaise once a week! I had medium length thick uncooperative hair and the mayonnaise made it so soft and silky.
Now I have longer thick, uncooperative tangly hair. The deep conditioners I have bought make the roots look greasy and still leave the tangles so I need kids detangler. I will try some of your other remedies and see if they work better. Thanks for the info.
