need some help with a dvd burner

I can copy DVD's, such as movies, but I still get the same errors during the verification process but it plays fine in my home DVD player. I have this problem even if I am doing my own home movies to a DVD or data to a DVD but not when I copy it to a CD. Might just be the burner goin bad but I have not even had it a year. Thought I would try to get a second opinion. You are right though, DVD Shrink is a good piece of software but you ought to try 1Click DVD, it shrinks and burns in one process. Thanks for your post.

1Click is the software I use, but you know it only controls the content you choose to copy, don't you? You still need separate software to decrypt the original. I use DVD43 for that. There's also DVDFab Decrypter. It's free, it's self-contained, and unlike DVD Shrink, it's still in development.;)

Did you say you're also getting read errors when you copy homemade movies? If that's the case, you should try a drive cleaner. If it still has read errors during the verification process, then the lens is probably out of whack.

Thanks for the post and the cleaning suggestion, I will give it a try. I also know what you mean about the decryptor and yes DVD43 is good or Any DVD plus there are a ton of freeware and shareware options if you go to Cnet.
