todays noontime show (eat bulaga and wowowee) doesnt look like the noontime show i grew up with. now it looks like a game show not a noontime show. when i was younger noontimes show is about promoting albums or new songs, promoting movies, guesting of our favorite stars and of course games. but now it is all about games no longer about fun and surprises. it turn out to be a game show? what can you say about this?

you are right roni it's really a different noontime show we're having now a days. Back in times when we usually see our favorite stars who really are perfecting their craft you definitely miss that kind of show.. I miss student canteen..hehehe...

yeah, student canteen. now all we see on tv are more on the new actors and actresses. well i think that is what most of the watchers love to see thats why we have game shows in noon time.

yeah that's right consumers commands what they want in a show. They have this motto "you want this you'll have it"

that's interesting. the noontime shows are mainly for middle aged housewives, and they are always featureing oldies, or pop stars who were popular in the 1970s and 1980s. they were showing it at a food court where my colleagues and i were eating and we were really quite appalled that they were showing this kind of programme. but i guess it appeals to a certain type of crowd. i don't think they show game shows here during noontime.

What's good about it is that they turned interactive. Nowadays the audience are not just passive spectators, but active participants at the same time. It no longer focused on the egoistic stars but also on the down-to-earth lives of the common pinoy. You get to learn about the life they lead and the shows grow more socially responsive. It actually is a good thing. But yeah, it would be nice if they put more dancing and singing in it.

Hi roniroxas, its been a long while. Noontime shows ? I think it all boils down to ratings . Those two giant TV stations are playing for the masses. For ratings. For commercials. Whatever it be that the masses goes for, they scramble for it, and they do it big time. So, if your taste differs from the majority, then maybe you can find it on TV 4 or Channel 13. How ya doin my friend?

Noontime show now is very different compared with before. But I think they created it that way because its more fruitful. And people are enjoying as well and making money at the same time. And they have still singing and dancing though the main higlights of the show are the games. And I reckon that is one big reason why there is a long queue of people in that certain programs.

I guess noontime shows are evolving already to what the majority wants to watch nowadays. You can just see how the audience responds to it as they even line up long in the studio just to watch and hopefully join their games in there.
