herbal medicines or medicines from the drug store????  

I believe in using a combination of traditional and modern medicine practices and remedies in order to maximize my health. Since I was born with serious illness, and have developed further health problems as my life continued, taking care of myself is something I have to devote a lot of effort to. I have found that for some things herbal remedies have helped me more, but I would never forgo medical treatment in order to only use them. Had I done so, I would be dead by now.

I think ultimately it's a matter of finding a doctor that's willing to work with you on both sides of the board, so that you can discuss pros and cons of each treatment honestly with them.

I haven't tried any herbal medicines so I can't really compare which one is better as I have only bought ones from the drug store.

Would you recommend any for stomach cramps? LOL

My first choice is herbal medicine. I've had a lot of bad experiences with western medicine. Western medicine drugs usually either don't work well or at all, or they give me really bad side effects. I used many natural remedies to treat my ailments. I take wild oregano oil instead of antibiotics. I take ginger root instead of pain killers. I take kelp extract instead of thyroid medications. I really have found that natural medicine works a lot better and is safer for you than all of those drugs.

I don't like go to doctors and avoid take medicines as much |I can.I don't know much things about herbal medicines but my husband knows more than me.He learn few things from him mother.as you know the old people are special about herbals lol:
when I visit her i try learn little more about herbal medicines.

I don't like herbs at all. So I always go for medicines. It is hard for me to take herbs because of the smell. I don't know which is better as I never try the other one *smile*

When I was a kid, my parents where used to herbal medicines, but when I grew up and got education, I didn't developed much interest in it, though I still like it.

The advent of medicine has some value. However, it is way skewed to be prejudiced agains the herbal medicines. They are quite worthwhile and when taken knowing of their family, use and possible effects, they are quite safe. Usually don't need another medicine with herbals like you do for prescribed medicines. Side effects can be quite rare with herbals when used correctly not like the man made drugs where side effects are common leading to additional medicines.
Germany prescribes herbals and I hope that America gets smart and begins to do the same.

I dont know about you but I hate to take perscription med. have you ever read the warning of what might go wrong with you if you take it!
SOme if ya take it you cant get in the sun now how do dyou not get in the sun if you have to go some wheres others have so many side effects it scares me to even think about it . I would rather try all the old home remidies first.

i do believe in this herbal medicine but i also buy medicine at the drug stores specially those prescribed by our doctor

I like herbal or over the counter medicine, which ever helps! I find that herbal tea such as green tea is also wonderful in helping me to feel better also.
