Have you ever eaten in the dark?

Years ago, my spouse and I were caught unprepared in a hurricane, and it knocked our electricity. We didn't have candles or a flashlight, so we huddled in the dark on the couch. After a few hours, we got hungry and opened the windows so we could get a little residual light into the living room. And, then proceeded to make dinner. We sat there, watching the storm outside our bay window and eating cold raviolli and croissants in the dark. Best tasting food I've ever had. So, how about you? Have you ever eaten in the dark?

I've actually done this in the same circumstance as you. I went through hurricane Frances and hurricane Jeanne in Florida. So we were without power for a while. It's amazing when you go without power and fresh running water how much you grow to appreciate little things.

When I'm alone, I rarely turn lights on to do things. I like eating in the dark. I also usually won't turn the light on when I'm going to the bathroom either, but that's a different topic. ;~D Sounds like you two made the best of a not so great situation!
