The Dark Crystal is a very intuitive movie

Even though Jim Henson's brainchild movie "The Dark Crystal" seems likes your regular good versus evil 'Lord of the Rings' type, when I watched it I realized that every bit of it had a message of something that is very deep and spiritual.

The Dark Crystal is a fantastic movie. has been one of my all-time favorites since the first time i ever saw it..very looong ago lol. i still have a copy on VHS cassette, but you've just reminded me to look for it on DVD to add to my collection thanks!

Yes. I am also keen on watching the Labyrinth (1986). Brina Froud is definitely involved in the upcoming Dark crystal movie soon to be released in 2008. But it is going to miss the puppetry of the "creator of Kermit, the frog".

Labrynth is also a favorite of mine lol! i havent heard anything about a remake of The Dark Crystal!! that would be great! of course im not sure how great it will be without the magic of Jim Henson...will the creatures etc, just be CGI then?

I love anything Brian Froud is involved in.] Henson may be responsible for the pupettry, but those magical worlds are pure Froud.
