If driving and drinking is illegal, why do bars have parking lot?

Being drunk is the main reason why there are a lot road and car accidents, statistics say. And one way to lessen that problem is to implement no parking area in any bars. Should I appeal to the congress about this?

Naks naman. You have a nice point. You may propose it as a city ordinance first then have it as a model for a larger-scale application. --bisitahin mo naman ako sa blog ko: http://crazydrunkguyv2.blogspot.com/

That's a very good idea maybe you should try to propose it to the congress and maybe there will be less accidents involving drunk drivers

Nahh.. it's easy to address this one if you have known the politician well. And sad to say, our country lacks the capability of having a good governance and ratification of bills. Maybe, in your place. It might work.

You have an idea there worth discussing in the Congress. I think all establishments like that of a bar, are required by law to provide their own parking space. Now, some patrons will find it also a big inconvenient to have no parking space. They are in business for profits, anyway. They could lose customers if there is no parking space.

Well, I don't know if that would work in your country, but it doesn't in ours, the carparks are still there. I got a feelings that a lot of the bars will soon be closing down because of the smoking ban and the building turned into parking lots. OK in the city, but in the countryside, it would be a bit silly to see loads of cars parked in the middle of nowhere! ;-)

I have to admire the creativity that you display, and you might want to go ahead and try to petition for such an ordinance. However, here in Pittsburgh we have bars that don't have parking lots (though there is some street parking) and I know for a fact we still get some real doozy drunk drivers. But you might be right in your premise, it might be a lot worse if we did have the parking lots for the bars.

In Pennsylvania right? well.. It's a plus for your town then. I should recommend that place for my friends.
