Why Do Women Carry Hand Bags Always?  

It is very simple. They have what they need in it. What do you want them to do? Stuff everything in their pockets? Maybe have large pockets in their dresses or skirts? I will give you an example. My husband put his change in his pocket where it might fall out. No one has paper money for small bills. When we went through customs, all I had to do was to zip up my handbag and it went through. He had to take everything out of his pocket, coins, keys, wallet which had ordinary bills, etc. and then he had to pile them back in his pocket again. Expensive bags last longer, cheap bags rip.

I think it's because women always have many accesories to carry like mirror, lip stick etc. It's just impossible to put those all in the pocket and it will be not good looking if they carry a very big bag. So hand bags bacome essential :)

We women carry handbags always because we have many little things that we want to put together in them. To me it's more for convenience and handiness, but I also like a handbag that matches the color of my dress. I don't buy very expensive handbags. I prefer handbags that are big but light with lots of pockets or compartments so I can organize my little things.

hey women carry handbags because they need it.In most of their dresses there are no pockets and if pocket is there it is not big enough to keep all the stuff which they need.so they need to carry a handbag.And now in the era i=of fashion every women wants to carry a beautiful handbag with a matching color.

I only started carrying a handbag a few years ago. Before that, I would almost always wear jeans, and just put my wallet, keys, and other essentials in my pockets. But when I started wearing more skirts, or clothing that had small or no pockets, I had to have a handbag to carry all of the essential things I needed.

I, however, normally only have one handbag, and it is more utilitarian than fashionable. I just pick something black or in another neutral color, with a lot of pockets, so that everything can have a place in my handbag and I don't have to dig for hours just to find something I need.

The carrying of hadbags and purses did arise because of fashion, but not like you mean. Since most dresses do not have pockets, and women were expected to wear dresses all the time, women had to have something to carry their money, keys, and ID in so the purse was born.
Of course, as time went on, we started putting more stuff in the purses (make-up, cell phones, tissues, etc) so, now even though it is now acceptable to wear pants (sometimes), we are used to lugging so much other stuff around that we still need the purses.
Plus, most dress pants for women still don't have pockets, so, unless you are wearing jeans, you need the purse just for wallet and keys still.
Personally, if I can get away without using a purse, I do, but that usually only works if I am wearing a coat, since I usually have my keys, wallet, and cell phone, which can get kind of bulky if I am wearing only jeans and a t-shirt.

I think some of it has to do with fashion, or perhaps wealth. It take a little bit of money to have purses in different colors to match your outfits. I myself don't carry much. If it can't fit into my cargo pocket, then I don't need it. If I'm going to a place where I need to bring extra stuff or I'm going shopping, I just bring along a back pack, it serves the purpose.

This seems to be the style now. About ten years ago, it was the mini backbacks! Now it's the handbags I guess. I could never know as I am not a girly-girl, but I will say if I need something big enough to hold my wallet, cell phone, checkbook, pens, and spare paper to write on, and my make-up (I don't carry nearly as much make-up as most women though! Just concealer) and a handbag offers the necessary amount of space to carry all of that stuff without being too overwhelming in physical size, then I'll carry the handbag! =) I think most women probably do it out of fashion/style though.

When I was in high school I saw most girls that had a handbag so I wanted one and I got one. I have a total of six bags with different colors. I didn't choose different color handbags to match my clothes I just wanted to have different colors. I like to carry one because I have a place to put my cell, wallets, etc.
