| Is it just me...  | | | |  Or does Umbridge look like Laura Bush?Don't get me wrong, I actually like Laura Bush a lot better than her husband and many of the people he works with. Still, there are parallels in my opinion to the way that the Ministry of Magic seek to obliterate dissenting views and the way that the US Administration uses the Patriot Act to brand those with a different opinion as unpatriotic.
I truly don't believe in getting overly political on myLot or anywhere else for that matter. I was just struck by a resemblance and thought I would share. What do you guys think?

| |  Oh, heavens no! Laura is actually a very nice looking, very sweet woman. Dolores is a WITCH, with a capital B..and that nasty smirk and sickening laugh of hers don't help any at all. I really wish Minerva would have punched her, or at least told her what she thought of her.

But, I do see similarities between Death Eaters and some Republicans (that sounds horrible, but I do), and I did pick up on a certain physical similarity. | |  I agree they do look a little alike but unlike you Laura Bush is not one of my favorite people she comes off as fake to me in different interviews! I think stiff is the word I would use to discribe her. Dumb A*s is what I would use to describe her hubby :)

I said that I like her a lot better than I like her husband.... there is a whole world of difference between thinking she's not as god-awful terrible as the rest of them (particularly hearing gossip column rumors that she's already started the process of leaving him and they're mostly living apart) and thinking that she is great.
I, like you, dislike her spouse and his associates so much that there is plenty of room for me to like her more than them without actually putting her on any list of my favorite people!
