I think a gentlemen is someone that does not hurt people and is respectful and polite to everyone.
As far as there being less of them.I think so in general public.But,I guess it depends on where you go,where they are from,their age and how they were raised.Example;at church I see alot of gentlemen.Usually men that were raised in the country and had a gentlemen father and did not have too many outside influences might grow up to be a gentlemen.Or,it might be an older person raised in an era where you knew how to act.

Sadly they are a dying breed! More chance of winning the lottery LOL. My definition of a gentleman is someone with manners who knows how to say thank you and please, and who will bend over backwards to help, someone who is chivalrous and eager to give to others and always has a smile on his face. Someone who is thoughtful, generous and kind and will always say good morning/afternoon/evening to you in passing. If you see one, capture him he'll be worth something LOL!
