What's the one thing that you fear so much when you were a child?

When I was a kid, my parents didn't scare me with the boogeyman or whatever monster will come out under my bed, if I don't go to bed early.

I remember when I was still a kid, and I saw the "Thriller" video. I was so scared with the part where the girl was cornered in an abandoned house. And when she looked at Michael, he's a zombie too. I was afraid of the dark too. My imaginations went wild when it went dark.

I get that sometimes, you know. Maybe when I'm too stressed out and my imagination starts running wild. Sometimes when I need to go to the bathroom at the middle of the night, I sometimes can't help but think that I might see "something" in the bathroom mirror.

I think I saw that movie, too. It was kind of pretty scary but not that hand-gripping on the seat scary.

True. Basically, I was waiting to be scared until I peed in my pants, but I ended up feeling a bit "cheated"...

Hi eprado.^_^ I was just like you, too when I was a kid. As what my mother used to tell me, I was making my own ghost! Because I can't stop myself from watching horror and scary movies, but at the end, I suffer from it. Like you, I was unable to sleep. And I was so afraid of every little bumps and noise during the night. Thank goodness, we have finally outgrown that.- smiles-

I'm fond of watching zombie lately. By doing this, my wild imagination about them becoming real, lessens. I just keep thinking they are just good actors wearing good make-up and ugly prosthetics.

hi wolfie. Now that I'm an adult, I'm still a little scared of lightning and loud, rumbling thunder. My sister was genuinely surprised when she saw my reaction to these things. She said her 7 year old daughter was braver than me!lol!

speaking of cemeteries, I remember when I was a child, I steadily refused to go to my aunt's house. Because she lived near the cemetery. And being a kid, my mind was running wild with my imaginations of seeing zombies and ghosts.

thank you, bala. I guess, for some kids, their fear of cemeteries have something to do with the ghost stories they hear and zombie movies they watch. I know, because I've been there.:) I remember, my friends and I will sit down and take turns telling ghost stories. There was a particular one when I was still in grade school. There was a rumor that a school janitor saw a headless man, walking aimlessly inside a dimly lit classroom. And not only that. There was also a rumor that the sound of chains being dragged across the floor was also heard.

Now, I'm getting goosebumps!

Same here. I much prefer the zombie movies. But I don't like the amateur zombie movies where there is too much blood and gore. There are zombie films that emphasizes more on the suspense, rather than showing too much bloodshed.

Like Hannibal rising?

Hannibal wasn't a zombie, but he sure did like human flesh!Ugh! Anyway, I liked that movie so much that I had to see it more than once. It was kind of saddening though that he lost the love of his life. It was kind of disturbing to know that he ate his little sister.:o

It is a very intense movie.My all time best is the horror of dracula.I got spooked like anything when I saw it ling time back as a child.I got the real taste of the horror then.

Speaking of dracula, I saw the movie, "Dracula 2000" with a friend. Now, the actor who portrayed the role as Dracula, was very handsome and as what my friend said, was oozing with so much appeal. I still can't forget what she said about him. She said if that's the kind of Dracula who will bite her, then she won't hesitate giving him her neck! lol!

I am yet to watch "Phantom of the Opera" dear.I rememer you recommended it to me a little while back.To tell you the truthI so got used to watching gore,murder mysteries, court room dramas and racy movies I keep it on pending.

I highly recommend the "Phantom of the Opera". And I do hope you'll find it a very memorable one like I did.

haha!The added scream effect does make the ghost story more suspenseful. Sometimes, when I hear someone telling ghost stories, I still get goosebumps.
