I just returned from a vacation on the road and put on over 1200 miles on my car. I traveled from my home to Nebraska, then back home and on to northern Wisconsin. I traveled on three major truck routes and boy I have never seen so much pollution as what comes out of the stacks on a truck trying to make it up hill! I think it's time they try to figure out how to cut some of the pollution that comes from the stacks of these trucks. They have cut emmisions from autos...maybe they should try to find a more enviromently friendly way to cut the emmiisions from truck. Most products are transported are by trucks so this may be another thing work on. What do you think?

I know that the trucks blow dark smoke out of their stack but that is because they use diesal fuel...which is prone to burn dirty. I don't think that it will be very soon that they will eliminate the diesal trucks and their smoke...they are too important for the transportation of our goods...buses and trains use diesal too. Unless someone can figure out how to use water to run these vehicles ...I think we are stuck with them.
