What do you think happened to the dinosaurs

I like the whole meteor theory or the gradual climate change from the Earth's plates moving.

i think it was really the meteor theory. i was wondering too if they did not disappear, will we ever co exist with them?

Absolutely not. We are the weakest and slower animal of our size through the whole planet, and we have practically no ability to hide ourselves. Probably if all dinosaurs would have still continued existing (some little ones of them still do, like komodo dragons and crocodiles), we would never ever existed. We, as primates, started evolving from little insectivore mammals after the meteor destroyed most part of the dinosaurs. As little mammals, it's easy to hide; as big and slow hominids, it's quite impossible to survive to almost perfect predators.

The most strong theory about it, is the meteorite one (maybe 'cause we have found the meteor holes, hehe). Probably the earth is periodically hitten by meteorites. The K/T meteorite, the last one, is the one which made dinosaurs almost totally disappear. The meteor before it, made about 80% of life forms on earth die, if I remember well, maybe more than that. Every time a meteor hit the ground, a great volcanic activity is registered, probably for magnetic effects and for the strong vibration of the ground. The violence of the meteorite, the hot magma, the volcanic powders which could have covered the sky for days, maybe for months... all together they can be the cause of mass extintions.
