What kind of movies do you like watching: light or heavy?

A lot of movies are shallow and they annoy some people. This is precisely the reason why I'm asking you this question. I am a light movie goer. I go for ones that will make me feel good and relaxed. I only watch movies during weekends because I'm usually busy during the week. I prefer the light ones because this is one way of unwinding and relaxing for me. If I go for those really heavy plotted ones, I'll end up heavier. It's nice watching a movie with a heavy content once in a while but only when I've had a few days off from work. I think I've had my dose of heavy stuff during weekdays. So what kind of movies do you go for?

Well, i didn't really mean very light movies. Ones with light plots only. Ones that aren't really deep and needs a lot of analysis to understand. But action movies are really great. Thanks for sharing.

I usually opt for easy going plot lines when watching a film, as anything too complicated, and I'm lost after the first ten minutes, especially if I have to get up or turn my attention for a couple of seconds.
I do like a good thriller, but only when there are no kids in the house and I have the time to dedicate to the film. Otherwise, it's chick flicks most of the way for me or comedies.

Im fond of watching movies whether light or with deep plots that makes you wanna stick your brains out just to get the idea lolz! When relaxing i go for teeny bopper, comedy love story flicks or family movies so that you'll just relax and enjoy the movie.

im not really particular with that as long as i like the plot, the cast line-up, the module. im fine with anything, heavy or light. as long as the movie interests me.

It depends upon my mood. If I am tired and stressed, I like something that doesn't require much thought on my part.
