Has anyone used these for sending out mail? I have never heard of them until yesterday when I went to the post office and they asked me if I wanted them. I did not know what they were at first but they are a stamp that never increases when the price goes up. Is it a bargan to buy them that way? hugs

I think I read about this in the newspaper or some kind of news media. The idea is to not put a money amount on the stamps. Every time a new price comes out, everyone flocks to the post office to buy 1 cent, 2 cent, or 3 cent stamps. It probably costs more in labor and stamps than that is worth. At the very least, it causes a mess at the post offices. The large post offices must have quite a time with it. So now, there shouldn't be a price on the forever stamps. When the price goes up and you run out of stamps, you just buy the same stamps at the new price. It could be a bargain if you bought enough of them to go for the rest of your life without buying any new stamps. They can be used forever without buying 1,2, and 3 cent add-ons when the price goes up.
