Have you heard of Freecycle??

I absolutely love freecycle! I got a bike off of the site. When I first moved to where I live now I didn't have a car. I posted that I needed a bike and within a day I got a response. You have to be quick if you see something you need because stuff goes quick there. I really don't need any more junk so I haven't look on there for a long time. I've seen people give away boats and cars (not sure of the condition). I think it's great. Between Freecycle and Craigslist I would check those out first before I went and bought something. I like to save money any way I can.

Here in Australia we have freecycle as well. I am a member, but i in a small community away from where it mainly is. But last year i lived in a different area, which was quite big. I got some good baby stuff for my niece.Also gave a bit away, which was really good. I think its a great idea

I'm an active member of my local Freecycle. I have given lots of stuff and also gotten lots of stuff from it. I've received lots of toys and clothes for my kid and household items. I've given toys, clothes, household items, shoes, you name it! I think it's a great idea. As long as everyone honors the system. I do know of some members who re-sell what they get from Freecycle for free. Sometimes they do get caught and are banned from these sites.

I love freecycle! I've been a member for a couple of years now. I've never taken up on somebodys deal, but I have put up a lot of things. You never know what somebody can use, lol. One gal asked for old blankets, towels, etc. I had a bunch that I was going to throw out as they were old and stained. She had an animal rescue shelter and was looking for old stuff to use for bedding. Whoever started freecycle had one great idea there!

love freecycle. so easy to get rid of those things that are still nice but you do not need anymore. it's great as they pick up the items. how easy can it be. i have not gotten anything as of yet, but have given a few things. it was nice as the girl who got my stuff was so in need and was so very thankful. it made me feel really good to be able to help her.

I am an active moderator for a freecycle group in NC. I love it! I have found new homes for a couch, end tables, twin-size bedding, doghouses, and jars. I have found a couch, new drapes and free cat supplies on this wonderful site!

My local newspaper has something like this called Take My Stuff. I check it out now and then and have posted some ads but have never actually gotten anything. I do like the site though and maybe someday it will prove useful to me. Can you post a link for this freecycle? I really would like to check it out
