If your siblings were not your siblings would you still be friends? I'm not close to my siblings they are much older than I am. I don't even think I know them well enough to be friends so I would say no I wouldn't be friends with my siblings because of the age difference.

Well when I was young I used to make war with my older sister. We seemed to have this rivalry about anything. We do not get to be close when we were young. But as I grew up I guess we outgrew that feeling of rivalry and became as close we can. Now that we are both adults and have our own family the connection of what should be sister and brother is as close as it should be.

I am friends with my sister who is two years my junior. I have an elder sister who is six years my senior but I seem to have a hard time befriending her. And I agree, I guess it’s because of the age difference, but then I have friends who are a lot older than me but we get along fine. So I guess there is still the compatibility factor to consider. My elder sister and I do not share the same likes and dislikes and, I know this may sound cruel but sometimes my younger sister and I would gang up on her. Although not in a mean way, but younger sister and I would be a tag team against her one man team. We just find her so ‘different’:P But we do love her of course. She is still family.
