Hi I have a passion to be an actress. It has never died and I have a natural gift of getting into characters personality. I was wondering if anyone could offer me any advice or any ideas how I could find a job as an actress as it is so difficult. It seems that nowadays it doesn't matter how good you are and my love is acting it's all I ever want to do and it makes me happy.

Find a local casting agency and make nice. Seriously. Go in, introduce yourself, bring headshots/resume. Even if they don't accept them. Make nice with the secretaries and receptionists, bring them food every couple of weeks. You'll stand out in their minds, then if they're ever asked for an opinion they might pipe up with "Well, you know..." and drop your name into the pile.

acting is a good job. getting acting job depends on your location and how it is regulated in your country. they are many registered organizations that one can apply to for acting jobs. make enquiry in you country, you will be directed. like in my counrty it is nollywood, they in your country there should be one like that so you can apply so to develop the talent in you. good luck.

Hi thanks so much for your advice. I live in the UK and equity membership is important, but difficult to get if you haven't professional experience the thing is how do you get professional experience without an equity card. It is difficult to get into the profession. Thanks for your advice.
