Hi Friends, just letting you all know that I won't be online much as of tommorrow. My husband is taking my son and I to Seaworld in Orlando Florida so hope to catch up with y'all when we get back. My husband still wants to take the laptop but I am not sure whether I would have any energy to post or answer any discussions, if we are going to have lots of fun down there. Just so this discussion doesn't get deleted LOL.... What has been the most enjoyable/memorable vacation you and/or your family has taken? Take care everyone and see you when I get back:):)

Have a lot of fun..We took the kids to Disney World and they didn't know..It was my daughters birthday, she was 11 and our son was 6..We told them we were going to visit some cousins..We arrived at the hotel and the kids saw gooney golf and got really excited..Little did they know that Disney World was right across the street. They didn't even see the monorail or anything...What a surprise they got when we said, "forget the gooney golf, look over there." They starting screaming and jumping up and down. It sure was worth it....See you when you get back..

At different times in my life: As a child, (around 9 or 10), my parents took my brother and me out to British Columbia and Alberta, including Vancouver Island. We were supposed to take a train through the Alberta mountains but VIA Rail was on strike so we drove through. And just before my brother left the nest they took us to Clearwater Beach Florida. We did no touristy stuff, just hung out by the pool and on the beach. When my daughter was about 18 months old my parents treated the two of us, and my teenage niece, to a few days at a resort in Jackson's Point, Ontario. I was raising my daughter alone so it was wonderful for my parents to take us away to a fancy resort for a few days where we got to enjoy a huge barbecue with all the guests, played ping-pong with my Dad in the games' room, tried to get my little one in the water at the beach, and other fun stuff. And then as an adult, my husband and I took our kids to Orlando for a week back in 2002 when I got my insurance settlement. We decided after a five year long stressful legal battle we deserved a break. THAT was the best vacation of my life. My kids (5 & 8) did not fight once, my illness didn't bother me, and there were no phones ringing. We saw 4 Disney parks in 5 days, spent one day by the hotel pool. We had purchased a 5-day Hopper Pass. We still have one day left on it and apparently it never expires. I hope we will get to use it some day. Maybe take our grandchildren. LOL! Have fun at Seaworld. You most definitely don't need to take your laptop with you.

That's a good time for family bonding, do enjoy and get back here as soon as possible!;) It's been a long time since we had family outings, vacations and excursions. I remember the times when we used to go to beaches, swim and eat all day. My father is the one in-charge in cooking barbeques for us, my mother was the one heading the preparations of food and readying the table. It is a fun experience, that after a day of swimming and playing, we are already all tired that we sleep on our way home!;) Take care my friend, enjoy your family weekend.

Have a lot of fun! Hope you gonna share pictures with us when you're back! ;-) My enjoyable vacation was when I spent 2 weeks in the states. I never thought that in such a short time it's possible to see much - but we did see a lot and I know that I want to go there again. We spent time in California, Nevada, Arizona and saw the typical touristic stuff like Universal Studios, Grand Canyon, Las Vegas itself, Bryce Canyon, and much much more. When I was a kid I always thought "Someday I want to live in Los Angeles" (I guess many children would like and also adults who never spent time there... it's a nice city, don't get me wrong!) but now I know.. that if I could choose, San Francisco would be my number one. I can't really explain why and so on but... mhm.. it just feels more right than LA. Uhm.. I guess I could talk a lot more about that vacation, but that *trip* is the most memorable an enjoyable I had until now.

I hope that you and your family enjoy your vacation. It sounds like you all will have a great time. I would love to visit Seaworld again. Hope the weather is nice while you are there. Me and my family have taken numerous vacations over the year and my last one in North Carolina was pretty memorable. I also had a nice vacation in San Francisco and Hawaii as well. Have a great time and see you when you get back.

See you later. I am going to really miss seeing your topics and responses while you are gone. However, I know that you will have more than enough pictures and stories to make up for it when you return. Take care and be blessed. One more thing, try not to wear the poor kid out, he's just a baby, LOL.

have a great time! this sounds like real fun. I've only been to disneyland in anaheim, though I've heard that the orlando one is nicer. i suppose seaworld is more educational and interesting for a kid, esp to see all those marine creatures taht he'd otherwise not see. my most enjoyable vacation was probably my honeymoon to new zealand - it was gorgeous scenary and the beauty of God's creation. love the place.

Hi maddysmommy! :) Wow! The picture that you just posted there already excites me! Can you bring me along? LOL :p I remembered those times when my parents will plan out family outing to the beach. I love those times! My parents will cook and us, their children, will have fun swimming, building sandcastles, playing volleyball and making new friends with other families who were also in the area. :) Have a great time with your family! God bless! \(",)_

Its good to have a vacation at least once a year. I am planning mine at the mid of October when I want to visit the northern areas (hilly) of my country. I have never seen snowfall. I hope I see it this year.
