I listened to Smiley Smile for the first time yesterday and it's nowhere near as terrible as I've heard/read it was. Most of the album & the bonus tracks were alot better than most of Wild Honey (on the same cd) From what I remember, the songs I heard from Brian Wilson's recording of Smile just seemed like a total anti-climax. Are the Smile session recordings on the Good Vibrations box better than the parts/songs used on Smiley Smile?
I have not heard Smiley Smile. It doesn't seem to reach my airwaves. I just listen to the old beach boys songs. Cheers!!
