What do you use to wash your face? |
|
Do you use soap or cleanser? Do you buy stuff at the pharmacy or at the cosmetic counter? What brand do you use? Do you just wash and go? Do you use a 3 step system?
I've tried a little of each. I've used clinique from the cosmetic counter. I've used Neturogena from the drug store and I've used plain ivory soap at times.

maryannemax (10433) | 3 years ago | sometimes, getting pimples depends on the genes, too. i don't get pimples, too even if i don't wash my face all the time as others do. when i used to work, i get lazy to clean my face before going to bed and yet, my skin is fine and no pimples at all. usually, i only get pimples when my monthly period is up coming. then aside from such times, no pimples at all.

I also dont wash my face in the evening coz I am infront of the computer evryday and they say its bad to wash your face coz it affects the eyes, I just dont know if its true but its one of the excuses I make for not washing my face.

6. monicazhang (528) | 3 years ago | I always use cleaning cream but I have tried soap several times.I thought both of them are good as long as they can make your face clean. Its particular important in summer cause our skins tend to be oily.I dont care the brand of facial foam cause it only stays in your face for less than 5 minutes. And I would try different brands.

8. hersmart4ever (4396) | 3 years ago | For my face, I use a facial scrub. Nothing else. I go for Biolink Green Papaya Facial Scrub. It brings good effect on me. It works well for my face. Most of the time, I concoct my own facial scrub using some cheap kitchen ingredients. They work even better but sometimes, I could not find much time to prepare my homemade beauty recipes that is why I would just use Biolink.

9. vmks31 (7459) | 3 years ago | How to wash your face
Medical science has made some pretty amazing breakthroughs in the treatment of acne. However, gentle cleansing must precede treatment in order to prevent irritation, because irritation can lead to more breakouts. Keep in mind the suggestions below when you wash your face before applying medication.
1.
Look for the terms "oil-free" and "non-comedogenic" (non-acne aggravating) when selecting a facial cleanser. You know you're on the right track when references to mild, "non-irritating", and "non-overdrying" are mentioned as well.
Many Acne Cleanser s also include other medications. For instance, Neutrogena Acne Wash "Oil-Free Cream Cleanser" has 2% salicylic acid in it. Clean & Clear "Continuous Control Acne Cleanser" contains 10% benzoyl peroxide. I worry that the medication will be washed off with these sorts of cleansers. Also, you may unwittingly be layering medications if you start with a medication containing cleanser and then apply a second medication afterward. From my experience, a gentle cleansing followed with application of medication is what works best. 2.
Wash your face only twice per day, morning and evening. Excess washing can cause irritation. You want to be as kind to your skin as possible. 3.
Use only your bare hands to wash. A washcloth is irritating. Consider the act of washing as simply prepping your skin for medication, nothing more. Washing itself does not clear breakouts since dirt does not cause acne, so there is absolutely no need to scrub. 4.
Pat dry. Do not rub dry. Rubbing the skin is irritating, and excess irritation...that's right...can lead to more breakouts. Gently pat dry.

10. herbalicious (369) | 3 years ago | I use water most of the time, but under the advice of a friend of mine I started occasionally using some soap. It's pretty useful; I dunno if it's the placebo effect, but I feel a lot cleaner and fresher after using it.
I never tried using those Neutrogena things; do they work well?
I usually just wash and go - I've never heard of the three step system. I buy my soap...from Wal-Mart, har har. Never been to the pharmacy or cosmetic counter to get stuff for my face yet.
