What is the most fuel efficient vehicle that can seat at least six?

This discussion is six years old, but it is every bit relevant to me today. Including me, I normally drive six people around. I have a Dodge Caravan, but it isn't really that fuel efficient. I need a new vehicle! I've been looking at the new Mitsubishi Outlander. I think it doesn't use too much gas, and can even seat eight!
