What in the world happened to me?

Have you ever had one of those years when it feels like nothing in your closet matches? Well, that's what I've been going through. Nothing matches. Nothing looks good.
For awhile I was the most coordinated person on the planet. There wasn't a shirt or blouse in my closet that didn't match at least two other items. And, shoes matched purses and lipstick matched blusher. I was a walking fashion "Do"! One of those enviable women you imagine seeing on the back cover of Glamour magazine. The good one, not the one with the offending bar across the eyes to hide identity.
But, that was five years ago, before I got pregnant, gained 45 pounds, had a baby and grew out of all my stylish slinky clothes. For awhile after my baby was born I went through my day fooling myself that I could still be stylish even while being a full time hands on mom. After awhile, though, everything I owned had been ruined by baby pee and spit up, and my sexy stylish clothes had been consigned to a "donation" box for others who could actually fit into them, and then I gave up on being stylish.
Nowadays, I am lucky if my shirt matches the wall, much less my pants. I'm a lot less focused on my personal style and what others think of me. With that being said, inside my heart, I do long for the days when I was actually able to match my pants to my shirt and draw enviable looks from others. Guess it's back to the mall for me!

haha I was like that before I got married and had my son. Nowdays its all about comfort for me and being able to get around in clothes that are loose fitting and comfortable. Now and then I might dress up if going out for dinner, but most of the time its either a top with shorts or jeans and or shirts and a skirt, track suit shorts and pants, sneakers and so forth. Some of my clothes match, others don't but thats ok because I am home most of the time.

I think this is the time when a girl turns to black, well that has happened to me, I find black is good then you only need a few things like scarves, ir accessories to snarten it up..I think this sort of thing happens to us all...

Black is so versatile as well! I will definitely try that because it is so slimming. My other favorite fabric is the slinky style brand. They are so comfortable. And, they work dressed up or dressed down too.

I have no idea how to coordinate clothes. I've never been able to. The only way my clothes would match is if I bought the outfit on the rack in the store. So I'm afraid I can't really empathize. I do wish fervently that my clothes matched.

This has never happened to me. I am fortunate enough that when I buy clothes, I'm able to pick things I will like for a long time. I like plain clothes in different colours, so almost everything I have co-ordinates. I wear a lot of black skirts, so I can have blouses of diffeent colours.

I dont know what to say because im not good in matching clothes and I am not fashionista either. Maybe you should go to the mall. Acytually I envy women who could buy clothes anytime they want to... because before i buy myself a nice set of dress, I would have to prioritize the needs of my family esp of my kids.
Im happy for you though... Consult someone who can help you.

You think I'm a fashonista, now? I wonder why you would think that. But, thanks for the compliment. I was that way before I had a kid. But now the money I spent on clothes (prebaby) goes into things she needs. Perhaps that is why I am not so well dressed anymore. No money! Sounds like we are in the same unfortunate boat, you and me, fashion wise. But, life holds other blessings, (children, home, etc.) even if one is not always fashionably attired.
