Do you think the closed down of some toy factories in China will help crafters

We have all seen on the news that Mattel and I think another big name company has temporarily halt imports of China made toys due to the high rate of lead in products. Do you think for the holiday season customers might be more incline to purchase American handcrafted products such as handmade dolls wooden toys etc.

I think it would be nice, because it's better to have unique gifts, but the thing is, handmade dolls and things like that are not what is being marketed at the kids, and so it's not what they want. Maybe if their parents took them to craft fairs?

You are right a lot of it is marketing, they are probably going to want what they see on Saturday morning cartoon shows. I guess more kids have to be seriously injured for handmade products to be marketed in the media.
