Computer Addict?!  |

 Are any of you out there a self- proclaimed computer addict? In this world of technology, computers are used by almost everyone. I grew up going to computer camp at school during the summer, and always loved computers. I use mine not only for email, etc...but for my business as a freelance artist. I would be lost without it, and went thru withdrawl when I did not have one for a while when my old one died...I didn't know what to do with myself!
Is this totally embarassing, or are there others that feel the same way I do? I get alot of criticism from my fiance who does not understand how much i need it, and I try to be on it only when he is not home.
Are some of you criticized for being on yours alot?

I cannot imagine not having a computer now, and if anything happened to my current system then I would certainly replace it immediately.

I really love browsing the net. Its my hobby, my past time and my addiction. I learn from the internet, I got entertained by it and not, I am earning through it.

Not just because of my profession alone, but all those things that u can do in free time with it, and still not get bored... Computers are very important in my life, and I consider my life empty without them...

6.  oldbuddy (5748) | 3 years ago |  No doubt about it, I started on an Apple II and ended up being in the computer consulting business for over 30 years until I retired. I wrote some software for auto dealers to use for selling cars and it's still being sold nationally. When I sold the company and took up the Internet, I was hooked. Some day I think I will slack off, but until I can't use it and make it fun I can't go more than a few days. I usually take my laptop if we travel anywhere and my wife doesn't mind at all since I usually pay for the trips from my Internet money.

Even my girl friend keeps complaining about it but i dont care. My computer is my first love and i would fall head over heals for this.

Talk about addiction!=) When I'm awake, so is my laptop, when I go to sleep, that's the only time my laptop rests.. Is there anyone more addicted to computers than me?=)
