Scheduling time off

How many of you have a hard time scheduling a vacation or quick trip somewhere.
We have not been to visit my husband's parents all summer. The kids spent a week with them, but my husband and I did not go. They live only a 3 hour drive from us, and still we have not been. Now the kids have started school and soon their weekends will be busy. The school band plays at every football game, so it is hard to plan a weekend away. A few years ago it was soccer that kept us at home.
So this weekend we are going, even though it means getting a substitute to teach my bible class.
Is your family so busy that you can hardly find time to take off?

Hi caver1! My husband and I always plan to go on a vacation but whenever the day of the vacation nears we never seem to be able to get off our appointments or most of the time, we have other important things to tend to. So what happens is we always re-schedule it until the excitement wears off. Too bad, isn't it? However, we just satisfy ourselves in just having a good rest and spend time with each other in the privacy of our home. Take care and have a nice day!
