I Really Dislike Wireless Internet!

"Phew". I'm finally back online after much rigamaro. I've had wireless internet for some months now, and I hate it. I have had nothing but problems with it. I have to call the cable company often, and have had repairmen here at my house a lot. So for the past week I've had problems again. I could'nt repair it or re-boot it, and I couldn't even use my network key to get a connection. To me wireless internet is like a cell phone roaming and not gettting a signal. It's aggravating and annoying. The problems are unending. So I was suppose to have a repairman on Monday, but as I thought about it at work today. I said to heak with this. I'm going back to hard wire. I had to disconnect the other computer that I had set up for the rest of the family, as we can't afford 2 hard wire computers. So here I finally am. I will never do wireless again. Has anyone else had problems with a wireless connection? If so what did you do to correct the problem?

I am sorry to hear that. I use the wireless internet in my dad and my own houses. It is no problem at all.

I Love HiWi internet! I live in Ontario Canada on a farm in the summer, and Alamo Texas (close to Mc Allen Tx.) in the winter. In Canada I have dialup, and in Texas I have wireless, and let me tell you there is no comparision between the two. Each time I turn my computer on in TX, I'm online very quickly. I can use my computer anywhere in the house or even in the Garage. In canada I have to wait for the dialup and sometimes it takes 3 or 4 minutes to connect. But I never complain..... whats 3 or 4 minutes in a busy life anyway?

I do agree with you because i also have been suffered allot when the connection of mine which is Lan internet connection and it was destroyed due to lack of management by the moron service providers while monsoon rains few weeks back in my city ......so i only had a choice to surf internet by using my CDMA wireless phone through USB cable so the company is providing internet connectivity too for the users at normal price but the speed is useless ......i guess its not more then 1-KB per second on average and it took atleast 5 mins to load a moderate webpage but thankfully the Lan problem was resolved within freaking 50 days and i came back to normal Lan connection and it feels like heaven to me as compare to the lame wireless connection ........ahhhhhhhhhhhhh now i am planning to change this moron LAN connection and get DSL ............
