Why do people have to announce that they are back on myLot?

I've seen about three posts today from people announcing that they are back. What's the purpose? There are how many people on myLot? Over 100k. Are you really that popular that you think everyone noticed you're gone? I haven't seen any posts asking where is so and so (maybe there were I just haven't seen them yet0. If you want to announce you're return just send a message to your "friends." They're probably the only ones who care (maybe).

They are sending this message to their friends, just doing it the lazy way. Mylot unfortunately doesn't have a feature where you can message all your friends at once, and since you can't copy and paste until your posts reach 500, think of how many times they would have to write the same message over and over. In order to tell all their friends at once that they are back, they simply write a post, and all of their friends are notified by e-mail of their return. I can see where you would get confused on this, but its just easier to send an announcement this way rather than the latter.

I thought it would be nice to let the people who I am friends with that I didn't forget about them or just blow them off. It has nothing to do with thinking that I'm so popular or anything stupid like that. I certainly am not full of myself as you seem to be, I just like to show my friends some consideration since they have helped me with advice ands concern over the months that I have been here. Their opinions matter to me because they have givien me some great support when I needed it. If they were all like you I'm sure there wouldn't be anyone coming back to deal with people like you who have nothing better to do than make smart mouth comments about stuff that has nothing to do with you. It's very obvious that you don't care and to me that's just fine because you aren't on my friends list and obviously I made a very wise decision not to put you there. I left the message for people who matter to me and since you aren't one of those people, don't read the post and get on with your non-caring little peon life. Perhaps one day you'll learn to care what others think and then maybe by some incredibly small chance someone might give a rat's a#* about you. Don't insult all the good caring people here like that when you don't even know them after what you just said I'm sure there won't be many people who could care less about meeting an uncaring insensitive person like you.
