There is no single character out there that carries a show like Ferrera does. There are great shows out there (House, Bones, 24, etc...) but none that have a central female character (even Alias [Jennifer Garner] which ran through 2005) that does such a good job as what she does with Ugly Betty.
Kudos to her.

The whole show is fantastic but it would be nothing without America at the centre of it, playing Betty so perfectly. Let's hope it's the first of many awards for her, and the show.

I like her for the fact she is a real person. Not concerned with her size and she doesn't have a bad rap. She is wonderful and I wish there were more role models like her out there.
