Is there a difference between a cruise ship terminal and a seaport terminal?

I'm wondering. My thesis is a cruise ship terminal proposal. We don't have cruise ships visiting our place, I'm not sure though if we have in our country. I've tried searching on the internet. But all I find are cruise lines, schedules, and bookings. Like those are helpful. So for those who have actually been on a cruise, is there really a difference with just a regular seaport?

There is a big difference! A seaport terminal is linked to big ships coming in with oil and exported goods. The docks are smelly and crammed with crates and hoses. The cruise terminal is much grander with walkways and waiting rooms for the guests. It is cleaner and has no oil lines or crates around. Connecticut has one of the largest seaport terminals and it is definately different!
