I feel tired with many wrong decision made by US government in its foreign relation. Especially about the war.
The last two wars which US government decided to start were worst decision it has ever made. War in Afghanistan was a waste of time and money, the US govt still does not accomplish the purpose of this war.
War in Iraq was just a wild shot. No nuke or other WMD found. And Saddam have been replaced by a government that not even have an ability to guard its country against its own people.
Now there is an expectation that US will attack Iran because intelligence source said Iran developing nuke weapons. The great news is this intel source also used by Bush to attack Iraq. So, is this another bad decision in the making?
p/s - I think US govt decision doesnt reflect the will of its people nowadays. Most US people do not like war but US govt do it anyway.

I live in the U.S. Where terrorists have killed, maimed, and persecuted. The United States did not start a war. The terrorists did. Your profile says New Zealand, but for your broad statements I hope you are living in the U.S. so you actually know what you're talking about.

I probably shouldn't have responded at all to this discussion, as it may be banned. This person should have had a different title.

I hope there is nothing wrong expressing my opinion even though not all people agree with it. Obviously I am not alone, see many US politicians also oppossing the idea of attacking other countries without proper reason.
What I am trying to say simply its not always correct to 'fight fire with fire'. I point to ponder is why in the first place 'terrorists' attack US? The terrorist is bad as US is an innocent country.

Being an Australian myself, our government has a tendancy to follow what the US does & says, up to a point. We are allies & wish to remain so.
I have to agree that some of the reasons of invading Iraq, were not applicable & the whole situation is becoming very much like Vietnam. I am glad that the US got rid of Saddam.
As for Afganistan, I am not too sure. My cousins husband has been sent to Afghanistan with the Army. I am also pleased that the Taliban are out!

Australia been a close ally to US lately. I hope both countries will bring peace and prosperity to Iraq and Afghanistan as they intended to. Dont take it personally, I just think news about wars that appear in news paper and internet everyday make people including me tense..

I think we all have the same problem with our government. Here in the Phils, i don't like the thinking of our president. But this is only my personal opinion. But i wish these problems with our country will be solve in the future to avoid any conflicts.
