Water...bottled or tap?  

Bottled sparkling water is all I drink

I have never bought bottled water. It is a waste of money, and how does one know the bottled water is any safer than tap water? I refill pop bottles half way and keep them in the freezer, so if I want to take water with me I just fill it up and have good cold ice water to go!

I usually drink water from the tap, unless we are out, and I have to buy it at a store. The reason I drink tap is because I don't feel that I should have to pay for water twice. 1 time for my water bill, and 1 time for my bottle water.

well as far i concern buying bottled water is waste of money i mean u are getting pure water from tap then why do u need botteld water yes they are needed when u are outside or anythng like that but i prefer tap water i also drik abt 8 to 9 glasses of water a day :) nice discussion buddy have a nice day

What bothers me in the taste of tap water is the chlorine. I have a side by side fridge and my husband installed a water filter on it, so we get fresh tasting water right from the refrigerator any time. My 13 year old refuses to drink tap water(can't say I blame him} so the filter has paid for itself many times over.

Yea we usually keep bottled water, more for convenience than anything. Its already bottled, it actually does taste better than what comes from our tap, and if you dont drink it all, you can just cap it and put it back until later. I dont drink enough water either, but since we started buying individual bottles I tend to drink more than I would without it.

We get our water from this huge man made lake nearby and its just yucky. lol It has beaches and things, thats how big it is, but when you swim there your suit is grimy dirty green from the water. So I just cant help but think we actually drink this? LOL I know they purify it and all, but it still has a slight smell and it just doesnt taste good.

Saw a program on tv some 3 or maybe even 4 weeks ago that did extensive testing on bottled and tap water.

In nearly 80% of the tested bottled waters, the tap was more healthy and purer since they in my country has a much higher standing and rules-set for whats pure water.
Importet and bottled water doesnt reside under our drinking water treatment rules, and thus can actually be worse in all categories, and most where.


One of my buddies used to argue that bottled water was MUCH healthier or else they wouldnt be able to sell them.... well studies showed him wrong. Now his argument is, tapped water tastes wrong... lol

Buying a water purification filter is much more cost effective. Many fridges have them built in (for those that offer cold water and ice dispensed on the door) and you can usually buy a good Pur of Brita filter system either as a portable pitcher or an attachment to your faucets.

I myself live in a large city so my water is clean and tatses fine by me. So I prefer tap water. Now days a lot of the bottled water is just purified tap water as it is so it's not much different than my cities water. I put water from the tap into bottles just for my dad as he thinks it's great tasting water. HAHAHA! he doesn't know the difference.

I only drink bottled water because the water we get in this region coming from out of our tap isn't that healthy to drink. It's not going to kill you if you do drink it but it isn't that healthy.
