I prefer natural medicine... actually that is how I control my allergies... they really work!

When I am sick, I usually take some capsules at the first time. I don't think that water helps a lot without taking some capsules or pills. Otherwise it will get worse if I do not take one or two capsules at the first time. Then I need to have a good sleep to get well if I do not have to work.

When it comes to a cold I find that natural remedies work better than over the counter medications. Cold FX and Echinacea and Echinacea Plus Tea used this past week had me in and out of my cold in about five days whereas other people are suffering for at least two weeks, including my daughter who gave me the cold to begin with. I also take natural stomach remedies like Acidophilus, Aloe Vera juice and Eaters Digest Tea (with peppermint, chamomille and licorice). But when it comes to my aches and pains, because I have a chronic pain illness, I have to rely on prescription medication. However, I also take supplements that have helped me reduce the use of my prescription medication.

Anymore I actually try tea to sooth some of my aches. I've found it works quite well with my jaws. I've yet to have my wisdom teeth out and they've been causeing me problems, but one cup of my mint tea and I'm fine. And if I'm just plain sick, I let nature takes it course. I just suck it up and go with the flow so to say.
