last night i prepared dinner for my hubby, we also invited his mom. i cooked roast beef w/ vegetables and baked beans also. it took me 30 minutes to tenderized the beef and 2 1/2 hours to bake it in the oven but everythings worth it cause my hunney just loved the dinner i made last night, him and his mom said that everything was good. i am trying to learn different recipe's now so when he comes home he can have a good dinner and he don't need to worry about cooking or anything since he usually comes home tired from work. i baked a dessert too, it's called apple cinnamon bread pudding w/ raisins. We ate it while watching our wedding video since we just got the copy yesterday. We had a really nice evening. i am now trying different recipe's from the cookbook and from the internet. The baked beans was delicious too, even if it's my first time to cook my first roast beef it turned out well. How about you? what did you cook for dinner last night? :)

hi claire, Congratulations on your first roast and getting compliments on it too. Good job!! Sounds like a great dinner and overall evening. Last night we had chicken noodle soup and whole wheat bread, all home made from scratch. It's getting cooler around here, like fall is in the air. The family is getting colds, hence the soup. Happy posting..

Way to go Claire! I hate cooking to be truthful, but I do the same for my hubby, I really dont like that he has worked all day and I have sat here on the PC. lol I dont think he should have to cook either, hes tired. He wasnt home last night, he was away working so he didnt get home til late, and then he said he was just tired and wanted to go to bed. So the night before when he was here, I made a roasted chicken, with gravy and mashed potatos and some corn with garlic bread. I usually make desserts, they last all week for us so I made a delicious chocolate pie that his mother shared with me. He actually told his mother I made it better than her! OOH I was shocked...I said baby you dont tell your mother your wife can cook better than her!! LOL Tonight I used the left over roasted chicken and made some chicken and noodles with carrots. If it wasnt for my hubby, I would probably live off cold cut deli sandwhiches and sweet tea! lol Bay xx

we like roasted chicken too, so i always roast one whole chicken in our rotisserie and bbq oven. i marinate it for an hour first w/ lemon pepper then sprinkle a little salt and pepper. it is so good, we eat it with corn and potatoes also. Nice to hear we like the same thing. My hubby might like your chocolate pie since he likes chocolates. Have a great day BayleighGray! :)

wow, you make me hungry now since this is two of my favorite filipino food. adobo and sinigang na baboy is the best.. yum yum.. i don't know a lot about american recipe when i first came over in the US but now i am learning a lot. i miss eating sinigang since i can't cook it here, their pig here has no fat and already packed like the fish, beef and any kind of meat here. my husband don't like sinigang cause he's not use to the taste but i do understand but he i cooked adobo and he likes it a lot :) See you around. God bless!

I made a lovely Italian chicken stew with dumplings. It had chicken, carrots, peas, italian zucchini (home canned),onion and garlic. After it was boiling good I cut up some refrigerator bisquits and tossed them in for the dumplings. Everyone said they loved it and it made the house smell wonderful!

I ate beans and tortillas. Very good as my girl friend who is visiting from California made dinner and I did not have to cook! Cooking is not my favorite pasttime and really enjoy someone else in the kitchen. But, I must admit, on cold winter days I really can make a great spaghetti! sunnywaters

i can't cook anything, so we often go out for dinner. last night, we bought some boiled vegetables, meat, and seafood and two bowls of rice. it is delicious, especially in a rainy day. recently, it is rainy and cold, so i like to have hot dinner, such as boiled food. it is popular in my city now. what is the best popular food currently in your city?

Well last night, we didn't really do cooking. Since me and my husband were busy with other things,my husband need to do and prepare some paperworks and I was busy with my children which were a little bit sick yesterday, so we didn't really have time to cook big thing. We only put mushroom pizza from dip frozen box, and ate it with some cheese on top. So i wouldn't categorize it as cooking.

My husband wanted grilled cheese and ham sandwiches, so that's what I made last night. Not very exciting. We usually have meat, a vegetable, and either a potato, rice or bread.

Well I went to my parents, at their old house, on Wendsday, which is fours hours drive away and helped my mom clean and pack. Last night I took them both out to dinner to a favorite mexican resturant of mine. We all really enjoyed that a great deal. I came home tonight and might have to drive back again on Sunday to help move some more stuff for they don't have the room in their vehicles. Gosh I'm so tired but I'll do it because I love them very much and want them to get settled in their new house where they're most happy at.

I didn't actually make dinner last night. Me and my boyfriend felt lazy so we had a take away. I had spicy chicken with chips and mango chutney. It was yum but i felt bad afterwards because it was so unhealthy but i suppose i'm allowed a treat every so often!
