I would like this explained. When did I earn money and how?

From what I have read you earn money just for posting, so the more discussions and posts you have the more money you make. They pay monthly and the payouts will come via Paypal.

In general, you can direct potential new users to ANY page on myLot and receive referral credit simply by appending?ref=username to any myLot URL.

So in this case, your referral link that would take people directly to the registration page is:

http://www.mylot.com/nr/register.aspx?ref=EZEdgar

For the other myLot users out there, simply replace EZEdgar in the link above with your own myLot username to get credit.

I have only sent one referral to my friend and he used the link I sent him and signed up on myLot. My earnings page still shows 0 in my referrals and he doesn't show up on my earnings page. What could either one of us have done wrong if the referral url doesn't work?

1) In order to prevent fraud and prevent people from "gaming the system" we will not be disclosing the unique aspects of our earnings algorithm. In general, quality responses and comments will be rewarded more than non-quality responses and comments.

2) The more quality information you post, the more you will make.

3) Yes, this includes both discussion starters as well as responses and comments to discussions.

4) The earnings shown in the system represent accrued earnings since myLot was launched in May. Since this program is new, we obviously have not made any payouts, and the carryover is from the months of May, June and July. The total amount of earning as of August 31 will be paid on or around September 15. Then going forward, payouts will be monthly with any earnings under $10 being carried forward until the next month.

hi mylot! thank you so much for the great info i just know. so it means that the more quality discussion you make the more you earn. but i have a question would the discussion to be opened and the rates of it the same compared to the responses? or is it just higher from the rates of responses? or is there no money at all to the discussion opened? only in responses? i really dont get it clearly since i was out 2 years already. sorry.

i have another question, how do i know that the amount comes from certain response?
where to find it here. i search and just couldnt find it.

and what is an rss feed? how to make a blog?

How do you earn more money with myLot? Simply continue doing what you've already been doing. It's honestly that simple.

The other way to earn more money is to refer other people. I encourage you to click on the "Earn Money" link at the very bottom of this page and learn more about the program.

The $49 you have already earned will be paid out via Paypal on or around September 15. This payment will also include any additional earnings you accrue between now and the end of August.

We will provide more details on how to get paid via Paypal in the coming days and weeks.

myLot should place a higher value on quality postings versus the potential garbage some people might eventually post. myLot will probably figure something out to control this if they have not already.

Great points. Yes, quality is a huge factor in our algorithm. Although we can't give out all the details of our algorithm (for reasons mentioned before), I will say that myLot users help determine quality.

The best thing to do with low-quality discussions is simply to ignore them. For discussions that are offensive in nature, or are only started to game the system, you should use the "Report Abuse" system associated with every discussion.

For those of you who don't know, there's a yellow icon at the top of each discussion. If you see a post that's offensive or only made to game the system, you can click on that yellow icon, and "Report Abuse" to myLot.

This system will help us maintain the quality of discussions, and ensure earnings are not rewarded for low-quality discussions.
