Any surprises about Walt Jockerty being dismissed by the Cardinals?
I thought he might have left, but was surprised the Club made the move. I really have my doubts now that LaRusa will return. I personally think the magnifying glass needs to be on the doctors/trainers. And I don't think anything will change without ownership investing in on field talent!

I had not paid much attention to that. I guess when a team does not do as well as the owners think they should heads roll. The Astros fired our manager and general manager before the season was over. Looking for new direction. We shall see.

Walt Jocketty should not have been fired. He's consistenly been one of the best general managers in baseball. But I'm more than ready to be rid of Tony LaRussa. Two of the nicest players in baseball, Scott Rolen and Albert Pujols, have had significant problems with him, and not just in the last year. It's really hard to get them not to like someone!
