Britney Spears: Do we really know how she lost her children?  

Yours is certainly a well-thought-out argument, with plenty of experience behind it. I have no particular axe to grind about whether Britney gets the kids or her ex-husband does. They just need care, so may the best parent get them. What baffles me is that many parents who make bad choices (like Britney) don't have any back-up systems in place, which is why their actions have such dire consequences. With Britney, she can surely pay for a nanny and other help if she can't handle all of her child-raising duties due to her professional schedule (or otherwise). I equate it to the DUIs of several stars recently. It makes no sense when you can afford a driver to cart you around to take such unnecessary risks. Not that anyone should drive drunk; the Hollywood types have even less excuse in my opinion.

I realize that it may look like I am letting Britney and other stars have the easy way out by paying someone else to act responsibly instead of them. However, I am just shocked that they have not considered the most obvious solutions in the first place.

What a concise post! Thank you for the voice of experience. I know a lot of people do not understand how tough the job is. In a case I know of the children weren't in danger and the SRS workers did not want to take the children but had to because the county sherriff ordered them to. He was trying to get the father to react and in fact waited just as long as possible hoping the father would come in from work and he would have a reason to put him in jail. The father was on probation for a non-violent case and was getting the money paid off real fast since he had gotten a good job that paid terrific bonuses. Kiowa County does not like to let go. I think the workers from the SRS should have had the option to make the judgement call instead of a drunken fool like the sherriff of this county. But state laws in Kansas (I am told) give him the right to do that. My oldest grandson and I picked the mother up out of the street when she fell crying as they drove away. It broke my heart. And still does even though after a year and then some they got the children back. I have a poem on poetry.com about it. It is called a Mother's Cry. I am not sorry for the sherriff's loss in the tornado that ripped the town of Greensburg, Kansas apart May 6th of this year even though I amsorry for other peoples losses. Call me hard-hearted if you wish and God forgive me for the animosity I feel. He alone is who I have to answer for for that.

I understand where you are coming from, but I also KNOW what Britney Spears must be going through, emotionally as well.

As a parent that has battled the DEMONS of CPS, and DSS, and I have NOTHING NICE TO SAY about them as they are sneaky, under handed, conniving, controlling people that want THEIR WAY, or no way at all..And that's as nice as I can be!

Oh trust me I battled CPS in court for more than a year!!! I battled the right to make my own decisions, I battled the right to prove I was a fit parent, and that even though I had made some mistakes they had no right to control my 'treatment' or lack of treatment by psychologists and psychiatrists.

I KNOW what Britney is up against, and I know that she will, even if she makes better judgments, and turns her life around, she will forever be harrassed by CPS, AND DSS.

She can get her kids back, she can change her life around, but she has to want to do it! And if CPS would work with her and NOT AGAINST HER like the DO so many times.

Even after changes have been made, they still try to prove a parent 'unfit'.

Been there done that got the t-shirt, read the book, wrote the novel on it.

Since these case records are sealed, none of us here even know the real details of this situation. It's all gossip really. I have a feeling though there is more to it than what the public is aware of, which is how it should be.

I think CPS has a very hard job. You're seeing people here demean them because of their own unfortunate experiences, but I think it must be difficult to be in the position of snatching kids from their parents. Your post is very informative.

well i think you have explained it real well. i still believe in the judgment system. even though how sad to hear it that the parents will lose the custody of their child i think we should respect the decisios of the law. well i think they are only looking for the best of child.

If Kevin Federline is proving to be the better parent, then isn't that what's in the best interest of the child? Remember, CPS is responsible for the child's safety and well-being, not what will keep the parents from breaking down on national television"

From what I can tell she HAS NOT been a fit mother right from when she was driving with the baby on her lap to being an alcoholic/addict...As much a Federline drives me around the flipping bend (or use to when he was trying to be an artist) bottomline IMO is from whats been shown, he IS the better parent at the moment. The judge made the right choice as far as I'm concerned..

I think ppl have a horrible habit of putting celebs on this high horse and making up excuses for them which IMO is a joke more often than not...Just because she was once a successful artist DOES NOT make her an automatic good person, responsible adult or fit parent..Ppl need to realize that

first take care for children .Why we penish children about our truble.When we seferring from any kind of bad time of our life do not angree with our children.
