People are idiots.

Maybe it is just me but I work in customer service and people are idiots and when they aren't being idiots they are just rude, mean and not thankful in general. You would think it would be beneficial in life to be nice to the people that are trying to help you. So is it me or are people just idiots!

People are idiots at times but some people in customer service are so rude and so uncaring that I think it goes both ways. I have had terrible experiences with people in service positions when I just wanted a little help that they were hired to give me. So I think ALL people can be idiots and rude and agree that everyone should be more patient and more friendly.

I have been on both ends too. People and even I should relax and live by the golden rule. I guess in this day and age we all get into our own little worlds and forget about the big picture. The thing I like about Mylot is that we can meet so many people from so many places on this earth and the problems we have are basically the same. So I guess we should all just relax and smile because in the grand scheme of things we have only one earth to share.

That is so true but the nature of people who are stressed and busy is to get frustrated. I think I am stressed and frustrated at least 75% of the time. Someday we will all learn to chill but I don't think it will be any time soon. lol.

hmmm, makes me glad I'm a hermit.. (Tho I have lots of friends and loved ones I see lots!:) But I so rarely meet any rude people.. Just lucky I guess.. (Better knock on wood!:)

I understand how you feel towards your customers. I have been working mostly in customer service for the past 15 years. Sometimes, it is just frustrated that people act arrogantly, rudely or just plain idiot when in fact we are trying to help them. These people really test our patience! When I first joined a workforce, I tried to be as polite and helpful as I could but it was always ended up being scolded or treated harshly by the customers. I am a type of person who don't like to create a scene and when I get angry, I will cry. So many times I had thought that this field is not suitable for me but I stay till now. I have been with few companies and beside customer service, I am also involved in administration and marketing too. Now, I think I am much more better than before.

The customer is not always right I say but the bosses don't tend to agree with me! I wish it was cry that I did when I got angry but alas it isn't. I let things slide until one person pushes my button and I explode swearing at them and telling them what I really think. If I am driving my cab I will even pull over and kick people out i the middle of nowhere. Oh anger towards customers isn't good but some of them deserve it! Administration is a good way to avoid the peons we call customers.
