Hello Mylotters,
Well, the cat's out of the bag. Former President Vicente Fox admitted, on Larry King last night (10/08/07), that there is indeed, a plan hatched by the US and Mexico, to form a North American Union. And, Fox admits that the plan is for one currency to replace the existing currencies of Mexico and the United States.
Of course, if you type in: ALCA and/or The Prosperity Partnership, you will find oodles of information about this unforgiveable sell-out.
Attached is a copy of the Larry King transcript, for your review.
Here is the quoted text of the relevant part of the interview:
The question was asked by an e-mail from Mrs. Gonzales, from Elizabeth, NJ. "Mr. Fox, I would like to know how you feel about the possibility of having a Latin America united with one currency?"
FOX: "Long term, very long term. What we propose together, President Bush and myself, it's ALCA, which is a trade union for all of the Americas. And everything was running fluently until Hugo Chavez came. He decided to isolate himself. He decided to combat the idea and destroy the idea..."
KING: "It's going to be like the euro dollar, you mean?"
FOX: "Well, that would be long, long term. I think the processes to go, first step into is trading agreement. And then further on, a new vision, like we are trying to do with NAFTA."

I can already see where this is going. After ALCA is a done deal and the Amero firmly in place, then it will be time to join with the Euro and we will be well on the way to a nice one world government.
It may take several years, but sooner or later it will be attempted.

Hello Destiny007,
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this.
Yes, I'm sure that is the overt goal. However, I see an intercontinental war occuring before the illusion of "One World Order" is reached.
Don't get me wrong, it's a lovely illusion. But, until the Human animal experiences a complete paradigm shift of consciousness, it will remain an illusion. Greed and the lust for power will trump the warm & fuzzies every day of the week. Sad, but true.

Oh there is no doubt of that at all.
This illusion of Utopian Tranquility through the New World Order is not one that I share, and I am still coming to grips with something I learned the other day.
After I posted I did a search on NAU and it only verified what I was hoping was a wild conspiracy theory.

No, I quit listening to Larry King many years ago. I can hardly stand the man. I've heard him say way too many really stupid things.
That said. You made a good catch with the Fox quote. This makes it pretty hard to keep calling the people who have made this claim paranoid.

Hello Redyellowblackdog,
I've been meaning to ask you: Where are the red and yellow dogs?
Thanks for stopping by. I'm not a fan of Larry King either, and don't watch him often. However, sometimes the best secrets are revealed from the left. So, I try to tune in now and then. It was fortuitious to be paying attention at the right time. O'Reilly had Fox on his show tonight, but there was no mention of the NAU. However, O'Reilly didn't cut Fox any slack. He hammered him on the Mexican Governments unwilingness to take responsibility for their own economy, and for not honoring US Immigration Laws.
And yes, you're so right that Fox's revelation serves to quash any allegations that NAU concerns are little more than the active imaginings of conspiracy nuts! I'm looking forward to the Bush response.

In 1975 my wife and I acquired our first dog together. It was a red Irish Setter. It lived until 1989 and traveled over 1,000,000 miles in our 18 wheelers as my wife and I were independent truckers for most of this dog's life.
In 1992 my wife and I acquired our second dog, a yellow Golden Retriever. This dog lived until 2003 and lived a very happy life spent entirely out in the country, never having to put up with being a trucker.
In 2004 my wife and I acquired our third dog, a black mongrel mutt of some kind. He is still with us. He is in my avatar. He lives the life of Riley out in the country, too.
When deciding on an username I decided to name myself after my dog. Which one? All of them!
I could create a composite avatar with all three dogs as I have photos, PAINT SHOP PRO, and a digital camera but that would result in an avatar with too little detail to make it out.
Where are the red and yellow dogs? In our hearts and doggy heaven!

Thank you for the history of your beloved quadrapeds. I have no doubt that your pals, and some of mine have met up, romping around in 'doggie heaven' somewhere. Your current baby looks a little like one of my most beloved buddies, a black lab named Boo. He made his journey to the great romping fields beyond in 2002.
Boo travelled many, many miles with me in his younger years. Many cross-country trips, restaurants, festivals, even canoeing -- which he was surpringly good at. I share your joy of our furry friends. So again, thank you for the descrition of Red and Yellow.

Woah there a minute...what about good old Canada? I think we should merge with them guys up north. They could run the show on the border down south. The Canadians don't take no fluff when it comes to crossing their borders. I know from experience. I guess we could also throw in Mexico and make it a threesome. But my vote is for a country called the United Provinces and group the 50 states into about 10 provinces. That would make it easier for the school kids to memorize. Anyway, the currency should be Canadian. Gotta love those Canadian Loonies. I forgot which denomination a loonie is, but it sounds good to me. Sorry, kind of got off track. That Fox guy, doesn't he own some TV stations, networks or something?

Hey Sigma,
Good catch! Yeah, Fox made no mention of Canada, yet the Canadians are included in ACLO, and the Prosperity Partnership. I guess Fox just forgot about our neighbors to the North. Oh, but we shouldn't just credit the Canadians with taking no fluff -- Mexico doesn't keep snacks and fuzzy slippers in stock for illegal immigrants either.
And, sadly it's not proposed as a choice, one or the other. The plan is for a continental merger, with the one hiccup that there are a couple of fascist Latin American hold outs. The nerve of them, eh?
Good points about the Canadian Loonie, and making memorization as easy as possible for our little future leaders, we don't want to make it too tough now.

I'm not sure how much of a secret this was supposed to be. And I'm not sure what, specifically, is the problem with the idea. I'm sure the US will be the major player in any such union, or even in a one world government, if it should come to that. Provided this is all done within the democratic framework, similar to the EU, (ie. we vote for it) it's not necessarily a bad thing right? We're talking 'economic' union, here, anyway, not a single government.
