Lucid Dreaming - The ability to control your dreams.  

I have experienced lucid dream before. Sometimes the dream is so real that you really think that it is indeed real. What I would do is to pinch myself in the dream. If it doesn't hurt, it is definitely a dream. Thus, I would be able to control my dreams.

The whole lucid dreaming thing mystifies me. I don't know if my mother controls her dreams, but she has mentioned being aware that she was dreaming and waking herself up when a dream gets to be too frightening. Me, I always think the dream is real, no matter how crazy it is, until I actually wake up. I always ask her how in the world can she know she's dreaming, so it's interesting to find out that other people do it. Even though it makes nightmares more frightening, I kind of like not knowing I'm dreaming. My dreams are crazy enough without trying to control them, and it lets me really get into the craziness if I'm not aware that it's fake. And, my subconscious provides me with enough material that I don't need more excitement.

I remember my first lucid dream, It was crazy. In the dream I was at work and had to go to the bathroom so I went in the bathroom and there was a bunch of other people in there, I remember feeling strange like I could actually control what I did. So I reached out and pushed one of the girls in the bathroom for who know what reason, lol. She didn't react in a way that one would have if they just got shoved by a stranger. I then realized I was dreaming and ran out the bathroom and started doing crazy stuff that I knew i would get fired for (after all ti was just a dream) I got to excited when I realized I could do anything and woke up. I was mad I woke up I tried so hard to have more after that I read how to actually get a lucid dream and ended up having 2 more after that and haven't had one since! It's a very wonderful experience to be able to control your dreams!
