Kevin Millar Going Back To Boston? ?   email this discussion to a friend?

According to the Baltimore Orioles and the Baltimore Sun, Orioles utilityman, Kevin Millar is headed back to Boston to throw out the cermonial first pitch for the 2007 World Series. Are O's fans outraged or have they come to reason that their millar's heart is in Boston and his body is in Baltimore. No matter who that guy plays for he will always respect everybody and play hard for whatever team he plays on.

Kevin Millar isn't going to Boston if he's going anywhere else. Boston already has enough first baseman and DH's. I believe he's coming back to Baltimore another season. He had an incentive in his contract that if got a certain number of at bats (about 450) he gets a million dollars and a contract to play next season. he had a pretty good year so I'm sure he believes he's still got it. Millar had his best season in Boston but I'm sure his heart isn't there any more and the fans or over him. We all figured Johnny Damon's heart was in Boston, but we all know how that turned out. As for him throwing out the first pitch I didn't hear anyhting about that.

Ok- so I got REALLY worried that you were stating that Kevin Millar was going back to Boston to PLAY for good! I really like Millar and I especially like him playing for the Orioles. Our Baltimore teams need all the help they can get this year! lol

Personally, I think it's a little strange. I mean, when you quit a job-or get transferred, for example, you don't go back to that first company and host the holiday party... or maybe some do... and they are the ones that are okay with all of this! haha. but seriously, why did they choose Millar? Why couldn't Boston choose someone that doesn't play for ANOTHER TEAM!!!!!!

So, the next time the Ravens play the Colts, let's have Johnny Unitas (this is totally hypothetical) throw the first pass of the game for the Ravens. Even though he played for the Colts franchise.

A lot more disturbing to me is the losses Baltimore has had... Tejada (going to Texas), Wright, and even Corey Patterson. All these players, especially Tejada are excellent players.
Baltimore is trying to restructure, which it seems they have been trying to do since the '84 season. I don't think Millar is going to Boston as noted above, Boston is chock full of first basemen and DH's.
We'll have to wait a couple more months to see what the season holds for us.
