What is in that baby's bottle?  

That is something i cant stand, i barely let me children have soda as is but to put it in a bottle is ridiculous not to mention a child that age should be off the bottle and onto a sippie cup if not a big girl cup.

Why was that little girl still having a bottle at three or four years old? My sons threw their bottle away before they could walk and I started them on the training cup. By the time, they were walking and could the cup themselves, we got them a plastic cup just like the grownups.
I bet that 'parent' was a teenager herself, and probably a young one. They do not know any better and certainly, they do not want to hear from anyone else. I know that in some areas in the Appalachians they do have children young, but those girls have been helping their parents and helping running the farm from an early age, but many of the city girls did not learn responsibility and it shows.

Uum no Ive seen this done too many times. Its insane! I guess they could care less about them developing healthy teeth and gums. I think some parents think they are going to lose those teeth anyway so they figure what they hey! Only they fail to realize, and if they took them to a dentist regularly, they would know that it affects the teeth that are going to come in behind the baby ones. They will have rotten teeth from here on out and way more expensive trips to the dentist than they do now.

Plus it shuts some kids up and makes life so much easier on themselves. How selfish! Poor kids.

One reason is soda is cheaper than milk. Maybe a bottle is cheaper than a sippie cup. It's handy to carry soda since it won't spoil. It's not a good idea to start a young child on soda because of the carbonation, caffeine and sugar but, people do.

Hi Lifez2short! I do not agree on children having sodas for them to drink at such a young age because there are no health benefits coming from those drinks. I do not also agree on a 3 or 4 year old having to drink in a baby bottle because at that age she has to be already drinking in a glass or a trainer's glass. because drinking in a baby bottle will ruin the formation of the teeth when used on a prolonged time. Holy crap...No way should she have done that..I am surprised that it didn't explode due to the carbonation with the nipple only having the small hole...Eventually it will rot her little teeth...She should have filled it with water or milk or even juice before she left home.. I mean she did manage to remember her own soda...Not sure why people do this..

Me too do think it is wrong to give very young kids soda and any other form of softdrinks. It can harm the development system the child is in. The ingredients each bottle of soda may contain harmful chemicals that a young child can't bear.

My stomach can not bear soda in take of more than 2 glasses, how much more a child who is 3 or 4?

You already said my first thought why is a 4 year old still drinking out of a bottle. I took the bottle away frm my children when they turned 1.
Soda in a bottle rots the childrens teeth, if is also not made for those bottles I have seen it shoot out of the tip of them. If the child is old enough to drink pop they are old enough to drink it out of a cup and not a sippy cup a cup or just hold the pop and let the child take a drink out of it.

I've seen some parents give them Wild Turkey mixed in Kool-Aid to calm them down on flights. That part I don't mind. Nothig worse than a screaming child the entire ride during a 5 hour flight.

I've also seen coffee and tea in a toddler's bottle. I can't imagine why anyone would want to give a toddler coffee. They're hyper enough.
