| | I would suggest picking the scrapbook first. Or better yet buy a complete boxed kit. They have them at Walmart, Hobby Lobby, Ben Franklin, places like that. They come with an album, various scrapbook papers, stickers, die-cuts, glue etc. One I bought even had a small leaflet with ideas in it. This is the best bet for a biggener. Once you get started you will find what you liked using and disliked and you will then have a better idea of what you want to buy more of next time you go to the store. | | | | | | | | | | Jewelry Making Study Jewelry Making at home as part of the Jewelry Repair program. www.PennFoster.edu | add comment | | | |

| | Hi, you will want to get a paper cutter, to cut pictures to size and paper. 12 x 12 sheets, I usually pick my paper by theme such as a season, or for a peticular project like my dog in her pool, baseball game etc. Scissors that cut different shapes for edging your pictures. And glue sticks that are made for use with pictures or scrapbooking. Two of the best places I've found with most reasonable prices are micheals and a.c.moore, also check out scrapbook.com you can get a lot of ideas there. Good luck and happy scrappin

| | Sticking to a budget is the hardest part lol I live bout 45 minutes from micheals and a c moore, so I usually make a list of up coming events or holidays, and set my budget at around $25 dollars at each store. | | | | | | | candle making Large selection of candle wicks on sale. | | This is one of my first discussions, with ladybug565: ".. once you have the photos organized it goes a lot faster, and you get more done in less time! I don't spend a lot for supplies... a few magazines with some good layouts, and I change colors, etc to make my pages look different. I do a LOT of my shopping for supplies at dollar stores and garage sales... There are many places online, like frugalities.com and scrappindeals.com, who have great sales on supplies... local bulk paper stores and craft stores that have super deals... a Wal-Mart or other dept store nearby--- their prices are MUCH lower! ... full-sheet label paper and print out my own stickers... aged-looking tags and images with a simple print shop program in my computer... double-sided CARPET tape I can cut to any size I need... collect bits and pieces from old magazines, the recycle bin, old cards... its amazing what a touch of the unusual can do! ...sticky mesh drywall tape--- a huge roll is about $6 at a home center, and ink pads color it well...clear 'embossing ink' is 1 Tablespoon of glycerin and 1 Tablespoon of water, soaked into a pad of felt... ...spend $$ on good stamps, punches, embossing powders, non-stick scissors for that carpet tape--- the TOOLS are SO important!...you don't need everything they try to sell you... just work with the basics!! | | | | | | | | | | Candle Making Supplies Large selection of candle-making supplies.
