Today I read about this wonder lady of 95 [grand old age]Marla Amelia Loper and her interest in Blogging. I was stunned to hear of this. In our place even many middle aged people are technologically challenged and to be so positive at this age is a lesson to be learnt. Don't you agre?

Absolutely! Good for her! I'm sure that in old age if you have something that keeps you occupied and which you really enjoy doing then it keeps your mind working and you have something to look forward to and 'do' everyday. It seems that all the people who reach a good old age and are healthy have something which takes their interest away from thinking about other sadder things. (like the past and the fact that many of their friends are no longer there with them any more). This lady certainly has to be an example to many people a lot younger than her but who no longer have anything that fills there day. Thank you for this information which could spur many people a few years younger to start something similar.

I can agree that there are many in their advanced years who are not computer literate. However, my husband and I have worked with seniors at a place called Creative Retirement Manitoba this organization is filled with active seniors who are totally committed to active living and lifelong learning. They have computer clubs where most of them begin their computer experiences at 60, 70 and even eighty and keep it up right until they die. I also think that the 'aging' baby boomers are also going to create a huge difference in the way people have aged in the past. So yes, the 95 year old granny is remarkable...but there are many bringing up the rear age wise that we have seen doing similar things...but they just don't hit the media. Good eye opener though for those who have not seen or heard of someone doing what granny does! Raia
