The Sarah Jane Adventures - Doctor Who spinoff

It's a childrens tv spinoff based on the 3rd/4th Doctor's companion Sarah Jane (who also turned up in the new series two with David Tennent and Rose) making friends with some school children and discovering aliens etc. (the first story got described as being like a remake of School Reunion only with Slitheen.) Has anybody else seen it, what did you think? I cought one episode this week - somebody who should've died had done a deal with a being who could rewrite time, so she could steal Sarah's life and change history so as far as anyone knew she's died instead when they were both children. It was about 25minutes long with cliffhanger - so a return to the traditional Doctor Who format, but acting style was closer to CBBC programmes like Tracy Beaker than classic Doctor Who. Bits seemed like they'd be pretty creapy for the target audiance - the being posing as a Death type figure in a black hooded robe/cloak, and being summoned via a puzzlebox (shades of Hellraiser). The and the basic idea of somebody getting a life that they shouldn't have, making everybody else forget that should be dead and the other person being banishied to be trapped in an alternative world that's a kind of limbo/purgetory is pretty disturbing if you think about it.

I think I liked it because it was aimed younger. More light-hearted. I also like the kids helping her solve dilemmas. I will be looking forward to next season. I don't remember Sarah Jane from the old Doctor Who. I have only watched for this new series, not the older ones. I think both are modern and fun. Hopefully, someone where it is broadcast will upload it to the internet for me when it airs again.

Thank you for best response! Do you have any idea when the show will start again? I am becoming impatient. Did you catch Sarah Jane in the last Dr Who?

I only watched the first episode of this as it seemed a little 'young' for me. I did enjoy it though.

I I really liked this spin off series-I always love movies, and shows with kids in them. It's really clever.
