Looking all over for my cat Gracie one day.. and

Aww--I saw the picture of Gracie. My doesn't she look all sweet and innocent while giving her "mom" a heart attack with worry. Oh, yes, this has happened to me a number of times. I have two kitties, Kissy and Pyewacket. Pyewacket is the troublemaker. I don't live in a very large apartment and there just aren't that many cubby holes or hiding spots the cats can disappear, so I STILL can't figure out where he'll hide at. I do the same thing look all over the place and no luck. I call and call his name. Nothing. Then I get frantic thinking, OMG, he didn't somehow get out? Then just as I'm to make a search outside,sweet as you please he'll finally come out of hiding. Want to strangle him, but instead just give him a big hug

Oh I have a crazy lost pet story for you. My lovebird Tiki... We had only had him for a few days when this happened. We let our birds have free reign of the apartment. Well one day my wife and I were about to go out and we were saying goodbye to all our birds when we noticed Tiki missing. We scoured the whole apartment for him. We made sure he didn't end up in a trash can, toilet, behind the fridge, under the bed. We were so scared. We looked under couch cushions as well. Finally we noticed that one of those little arm covers on the couch seemed to be moving. He had climbed underneath the arm of the couch and into the arm cover and was resting in it like a hammock. To fit his needs we got him a little happy hut that he sleeps in every night.

Happens to me all the time too. My little troublemaker's name is Carlye. She likes to hide in the closet and on top of things in plain sight. I always have a fun time playing hide and seek with her.
