What do you put in Christams Stockings?

I love doing the stockings! Each year it just gets a lot of fun. I try to get things for the kids (24 adn 29) usable, pratical yet fun and original things. They are impressed every year nad they even love getting their stockings. Everything from the shoe polish my police officer son needs to makeup samples, or those cool little travel things, to the bottle of hot sauce my daughter loves - haven't started yet this year, but have to get going on that. What do you put in your kids stocking?

Just a few cute little things from the dollar store fitted to the personality of each person, and then a gift card so they can have fun buying their own stuff. I love the way they now decorate the gift cards so nicely. Some are really pretty and that makes it much less like just giving cash, which I don't like to do.

I have become a fan of gift cards - took me awhile to get ther as I thought they only showed that the person didn't have the time or make the effort to bother to get you a gift, but now I buy them from special places the person really likes and everyone is happy!

misc candies of course lol. some useful things like pretty little hair clips or scrunchies. usually some kind of xmas stamps, stickers, flavored lip balm. little notepad of paper or diary thingy. usually just some odd bits and pieces from either a place like Big Lots or the dollar stores that catch my eye.

Dollar Store and the dollar racks at Target and Michaels - has some GREAT things! I start in September (used to start in July!) and watch and pick up stuff! I really enjoy it!
