We will be running a marathon for the girl child and its in Jan, but the training and preparations will start from now only. Its going to be a long long month ahead, full of exercise and stretches. Have you ever run the marathon ?

all the best! I've only run the 10km recently. It's not easy preparing for a full marathon. how is your training going? are you running at least three times a week?
what is this marathon called? will there be bananas and deep heat offered along the way for muscle aches?
you must carbo load a few days before the run. otherwise your body will run out of energy by the 21km mark and you'll have to struggle through the rest.

I am actually doing the Dream Run, ie. 12 km only. But my friends are doing the 21 kms. Usually on the way, we have glucose packets given to us and water. At my age of 50+, this 12 kms is also quite a lot, but I enjoy running with all the people. Its fun and you must have experienced the spirit and enthusiam all around. We have film stars flagging us off and a huge crowd to cheer us on the way. Thanks for all the tips. I shall keep them in mind.

i am running for CRY for reserving the right of evry child to get free education, which is true as here we pay education cess.so all the tax paid by us is accumulated by the govt and never put to the best of its use towards giving education to the kids infact the private schools are given alot of importance.
my running was great and wonderful as experience didnt get time to practise but was happy to see people in colourful t shirts, an awesome experience planning to take part again and again.
all the best.
